Where is my custom text printed?

The custom text information you enter when ordering, is printed on the back of the tag in black.

What information can be placed on the back of the tag?

There are 3 lines for information on the back of the tag. The first line is reserved for your Pet's name; The second line is typically for the main contact phone or cell number; and the third line is optional. The third line can be used for a secondary phone/cell number, an email address or perhaps used for medical information. This line is a max of 25 characters.

What tag sizes are available?

We offer two different tag shapes in two different sizes. Below is our size chart which can help in determining the best tag size for your pet.

For an easy reference, we've created a downloadable PDF that you can print at home to view the actual tag size. When printing, make sure your printer settings are set to print at 100% or Actual Size (do not scale).

Are these tags suitable for cats too?

Yes, of course they are! The small sized tags are perfect for cats and smaller pets, while the regular tag size is suitable for most dogs. What are the tags made of?

Our tags are made from 1mm thick aluminum and contain a porcelain-like finish on both sides allowing us to custom print in full color. The special print process penetrates the finish resulting in a vibrant and durable pet id tag.

Where are your tags produced?

Our tags are designed and produced in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. We take pride in offering a high quality product, made right here!

Can I have a photo printed on the front of my tag?

Currently we are only selling the designs shown on our website. We are working on a new feature for the website, that will allow users to upload their own photo or design for printing. In the meantime, feel free to get in contact with us for a custom tag order. Please Note: There is an additional $5.00 charge for custom orders.

Can you custom design a tag for me?

Yes, we can! If you are a business, group or organization and are planning a bulk order of tags, we can create a design with your logo or custom artwork for an upcoming event. Contact Us with the type of design you wish to have created and one of our designers will design and email you a proof of your custom tag.

Why are some designs slightly different between tag shapes/sizes?

While most of the designs look the same on all tag shapes and sizes, some designs are slightly adjusted. This is to ensure that the phrase or artwork has the maximum exposure and looks great no matter which tag size or shape is ordered.

What else can you do with Tag a Pet Tags?

Even though our tags look great on pets, they also make for unique tags or identification for Key Chains, Suitcases, School Bags, Lunch Bags or even decorate your jacket zipper! As long as you can attach the split ring to the item, our tags can be used for anything.

Processing & Shipping

When will my order be processed?

Our tags are custom made to order and begin processing immediately. Once processed, the order gets scheduled for production and packaging. Please allow 5-7 business days for your tag to be processed and produced. Once your order has been produced, it will be shipped promptly through the method selected during checkout. For CUSTOM design orders, processing times may vary, as additional stages are required compared to our pre-designed tags (ie: design setup / customer revisions and/or approvals). Processing times can be delayed due to weather, stock deliveries or other things beyond our control. Please note, production of our tags is typically every Friday.

How are orders shipped and how much will it cost?

For most orders tags are shipped Regular Letter Mail through Canada Post. We offer FREE SHIPPING anywhere in Canada. Tracking is NOT provided on regular letter mail shipments. If you wish to receive tracking information, please select an alternative shipping method during checkout such as Express Shipping.

We are not responsible for any shipping delays and no refunds will be provided for shipments that are delayed.
Please note: The purchaser is responsible for any duties, customs and/or taxes.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not satisfied with your order, please return it to us in original packaging for a full product refund (excluding shipping costs). All returns/refunds must be made within 30 days of purchase date.

Note: We do not provide refunds or exchanges on products that have been ordered in the wrong size, information has been entered incorrectly when placing your order, or due to shipping delays.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we can ship anywhere in the world! Shipping rates and options for other countries are calculated during checkout. For larger tag orders, shipping options and costs vary depending on location. Feel free to contact us for shipping rates for bulk order tags.

Can I add special instructions to my order?

Yes, special notes or instructions regarding your order can be made on the "View Cart" screen. There is a text box on that page you can enter important information.

Can my order be picked up?

No, unfortunately we do not offer a local pickup option.
